Dear clients and friends,
We would like to inform you of some exciting changes occurring at The Animal Medical Center of Woodland Park.
In response to the increased emergency demands in our community, we are exploring a transition to a 24/7 hospital. In time, we plan to have our doors open at all times to better serve our clients! Thus, some of our doctors are moving into new roles and you will see some new faces at the clinic as we expand our staff.
As you know, Dr. Michael Factor has transitioned out of practice and into a managerial role for several of his practices. He maintains the foundation and vision of our hospital.
Dr. Brittany Factor will continue to see equine patients on a referral basis for lameness and advanced imaging modalities. If you didn’t already know, she offers acupuncture for both small and large animal patients. Chiropractic care will be coming soon!
Dr. Madsen will be seeing less daily appointments, but increasing his surgical presence at the hospital. This will allow him the opportunity to enjoy his semi-retirement and spend more time with his family and church. We are very fortunate to have Dr. Madsen’s wisdom and support for our new team members.
Dr. Johnson has transitioned out of our practice. We are sad to see him leave, but wish him well in his alternate endeavors.
Please congratulate Dr. Thompson with the addition of his family’s 2nd child! He will continue routine medical and surgical appointments. He will also see some after hours emergency calls. This will allow him more time to spend with his family as well as plan a future veterinary-related mission abroad. We are very happy for him.
Dr. Kennedy has joined our team! She comes to us from Texas and has a strong background in general and emergency services. Additionally, she will share with us her experiences from places like Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, and Spain. We are very excited to add her skill set to our team of doctors! She will be taking patients starting Thursday, January 10th.
We are continuing to seek emergency clinicians and ER nurses to fill this special niche within our hospital. Please be patient with us as we pursue this journey.
Of course, we are committed to seeing that your transition to any of our new doctors is seamless and satisfactory. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us regarding any of the changes we have made. We would be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
