If you call outside our normal hours you will be transferred to an answering service who will take a detailed message about the nature of your
emergency and immediately page the Veterinarian on call. The Doctor will call you back to discuss your emergency and arrange for an examination with treatment.
Reasons to Call
Equine emergencies consist of but are not limited to: lacerations, colic, acute lameness, foaling issues, neurologic issues, eye problems, choke, and systemic illness.
Canine & Feline emergencies include: trauma, seizures, uncontrolled bleeding, vomiting, diarrhea, bloat, lacerations, lameness, eye problems, indications of uncontrolled pain, and systemic illness
While the above are recommendations concerning when to call, your judgment is best and if you are at all concerned please do not hesitate to call.
