Lameness is a common problem that can affects both performance horses and pasture pets alike. Lameness issues can range from subtle performance limitations to major injuries. The Animal Medical Center is equipped to explore of variety of lameness issues using diagnostic techniques such as flexion exams, nerve and joint blocks, ultrasound and digital radiography. Advanced treatment modalities are available including class 4 therapeutic laser therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, shock wave, joint injections and regenerative therapies such as platlet rich plasma (PRP) and IRAP II (interleukin receptor antagonist protein).
